Desperate Spaces Exhibition this Friday

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

This has been such an interesting exhibition to be involved in. There is a great line up of artists on board and I’m really eager to see what everyone has created in response to their paper pack. My response involved some extraordinary wordplay ;)

Amazingly all works are under $100 so please come along to the opening this Friday night and show your support for Artworkers.

Ah! Melody – sneak peeks

Tuesday, May 4th, 2010

Here are some sneak peeks of my 3 pieces that will be on show in the Ah! Melody exhibition opening at Mart Gallery, Sydney on Thursday evening. The inspiration for my works has come from the legendary music of Jimi Hendrix. I’m really excited as these new works represent a shift in focus from my dot style to my developing illustrated typographic style. I hope you can make it!

I’m part of a group show opening this Thursday May 6th at Mart Gallery, Sydney. The show titled Ah! The artists include Anna Pogossova, Anton Benois, Daniel Dittmar, Elspeth Grew, Bei Badgirl, Phillip Brendon Harkness, James Jirat Patradoon, Sarah Hankinson, Mia Taninaka, Hannah Smith, Blackwood, Mitchell Vs Ferrie, esjay, Wil Loeng, Jefske, Bec Winnel and Kareena Zerefos.

I’m loving the poster, it was a collaboration between Kareena and I with myself drawing the type.

Sneak peeks coming soon…

If like me you were unable to make it to the opening of ‘Once Upon’ last Thursday night and would like to take a look at the magical works created especially for the show by all the artists they are now on the Once Upon website. All remaining unsold artworks are also available for purchase from the site. I’m sad to have missed the opening as I’ve heard it was fantastic with a great response from all who came along. As selling artworks is all still new to me I’m very delighted to know that someone is taking one of my treasures and giving it a new home. ;)

Just a little reminder that Leeloo’s 2nd birthday exhibition ‘Once Upon’ opens tonight at Ambush Gallery, Sydney. It’s an exhibition full of some very talented artists who have created amazing works for an allocated fairytale especially for the exhibition. Unfortunately I’m not able to make it down but if your in Sydney please go along and say hello to my 4 works inspired by Peter and the Wolf. I definitely think its shaping up to be a very memorable night!
